Our Wheel-Throwing Taster Session offers the perfect opportunity to dip your fingers into the world of ceramics and explore the mesmerising art of wheel throwing. In this introductory workshop, you'll be guided by our experienced pottery instructors through the fundamentals of wheel throwing. From centering clay to shaping and trimming your vessel, you'll learn essential techniques that will set you on the path to pottery mastery. No prior experience is required—our taster session is suitable for beginners and seasoned potters alike. Whether you're looking to reignite your passion for pottery or embark on a new creative journey, this session promises to inspire, educate, and delight. Join us for an unforgettable hands-on experience where you'll unleash your creativity, connect with like-minded individuals, and leave with your very own handmade pottery masterpiece. Book your spot today and let the wheel of creativity spin! The cost includes studio clay, firing, and glazing up to 2 pieces of work produced. Please get in touch 4 - 5 weeks after the course to collect your work. DECORATING: (Leave a note in the booking if you would like to decorate your own work ) - You can come and decorate your pots once they are leather Hard, Add texture, a handle and underglaze (2 - 3 days after the class) - otherwise you can come in once the pots are fired to Bisque. Booking availble as an extra. The extra class is £25 for a 2 hrs session. During this session you will be shown the technique on glazing and how to decorate your work - If this option is not selected all students' work will be glazed in one colour. Please book a date which is at least 2 weeks from the Throwing workshop. - Please keep your nails short for this workshop - The course will run if there is a minimum of 2 bookings - Minimum age: 16.
