Service Description

Our One-Day Pottery Throwing Course which runs from 10am - 4pm (1 hr break at 12.30pm) offers a hands-on journey into the art of shaping clay on the wheel. You'll learn the fundamentals of centering, pulling, and shaping clay to create your own unique pieces. From cups to bowls. No prior experience is required—this session is suitable for beginners and seasoned potters alike. The cost includes studio clay, firing, and glazing up to 4 pieces of work produced. Refreshments will also be provided throughout day. Please get in touch 4 - 5 weeks after the course to collect your work. Glazing and DECORATING: (Leave a note in the booking if you would like to decorate your own work ) - You can come and decorate your pots once they are leather Hard, Add texture, a handle and underglaze (2 - 3 days after the class) - Otherwise you can come in once the pots are fired to Bisque. Booking availble as an extra. The extra class is £25 for a 2 hrs session. During this session you will be shown the technique on glazing and how to decorate your work - If this option is not selected all students' work will be glazed in one colour. Please book a date which is at least 2 weeks from the Throwing workshop. - Please keep your nails short for this workshop - The course will run if there is a minimum of 2 bookings - Minimum age: 16.
