Having access to life models allowed Suzie to become a skilled portrait sculptor and observe anatomy and movement to inform her figurative work. She has her own studio and regularly attends masterclasses with other sculptors as part of her professional development. Suzie has organised her own exhibitions with local artists and has had pieces selected for juried exhibitions. Suzie works primarily in clay and wax, having her work cast in bronze using the lost wax method. She also casts in Jesmonite and plaster. She seeks to represent not only human shape in her sculptures but also human emotions hoping that the viewer can relate, however uncomfortable that may be. -------------------------------- Course Options: - Course Only: You will hollow it out your own work (no firing included). - Course + Hollow Out: We will Hollow out your Piece - Course + Fire: You will hollow out you work and we'll fire it to Bisque - Course + Hollow + Fire: We do all the above extras.
