Discover the foundation of wheel throwing in this comprehensive 6-week course. Learn the essential steps of making functional pottery—from centring clay to your final glaze. With small group sizes and focused, weekly skill development, you'll build confidence at the wheel and create pieces you can use every day. All materials, firing, and glazing are included! ✅Skill Level Achieved This course is designed for Beginners (Foundation Level). You will progress from zero experience to a competent basic level on the wheel. You'll gain the confidence and essential skills to independently create basic functional forms and move on to intermediate classes. ►Learning Outcomes (What you'll learn) By the end of the 6 weeks, you will be able to: ✅ Master Centring and Throwing: Confidently centre clay and pull clean, basic cylinders and bowls. ✅ Refine Forms: Learn the essential skill of trimming and refining the base of your thrown pieces. ✅ Create Functional Pieces: Design and craft functional ware by learning to pull and attach handles for mugs. ✅ Master Finishing: Understand and apply glazing techniques to finish your collection of pots. ✅ Produce a Collection: Create and finish 8–10 functional pots (cups, bowls, and mugs) showcasing your progress. ► Included in the Cost • All materials (clay, tools). • Firing of your finished pieces to bisque and glaze ware. • Collection: We'll contact you when your pieces are ready. You have 4 weeks from that notification to collect your work. ►Important Details • Minimum Age: 16+ • Running Requirement: The course will run with a minimum of 2 bookings. • Nails: Please keep your nails short for this hands-on workshop. ►Payment & Missed Sessions • Payment Plans: Available for advanced bookings. Please contact us to arrange. • Missed Sessions: Can be rebooked separately for a £40 fee per session, subject to availability in other classes. We will always do our best to help you catch up. ►Cancellations & Deposits • Individual Bookings: All sessions and courses are non-refundable and non-transferable once booked. • Group Bookings (5+ people): Require a 50% non-refundable/non-transferable deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due one week prior to the session. Full payment is required for group bookings made within 7 days.

►Requirements for Attendance • Minimum Age: Each workshop has a different minimum age requirement. It is the signee's responsibility to check the minimum age specified for the selected workshop at the time of booking. • Nail Length: For safety and to ensure successful throwing, participants are required to have short nails for the duration of the workshop. ►Payment and Cancellation/Rescheduling ❶ General Bookings (All Sessions and Courses) • Finality of Booking: All sessions and courses are non-refundable and non-transferable once the booking is placed. • Exceptions: Any exceptions to this policy are made solely under the discretion of the business owners. ❷ Group Bookings (5 or more people) • Deposit: A 50% non-refundable/non-transferable deposit is required at the time of booking. • Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be settled one week before the session is due to take place. • Late Bookings: Any group sessions booked 7 days or less before the scheduled date will be required to pay in full at the time of booking.
