Ready to move beyond the basics? This 6-week intermediate course is designed for those confident in centring and pulling who are seeking to push their limits on the wheel. You'll focus on improving control, working at a larger scale, and refining forms for a professional finish. Across the weeks, you'll tackle taller cylinders, larger serving bowls, and explore advanced techniques to shape elegant vases. Select 4 of your best pieces to keep! ✅ Skill Level Achieved This course is designed for Intermediate Level students. You should have completed a beginner's course or be confident centring and throwing small forms (mugs/small bowls) independently. You will progress to being able to consistently throw larger, taller, and more complex forms with greater control and professional refinement. ► Learning Outcomes (What you'll learn) By the end of the 6 weeks, you will be able to: ✅ Work at Scale: Consistently throw taller cylinders and larger serving bowls. ✅ Master Shaping Techniques: Confidently execute techniques like bellying out and collaring in to shape cylinders into more complex forms, such as vases. ✅ Professional Refinement: Dedicate time to advanced trimming and refining techniques to give your work a polished, professional feel. ✅ Surface Finishing: Experiment with surface finishing to enhance the texture and look of your pieces. ✅ Showcase Progress: Select and finish 4 of your best pieces to take home. ► Included in the Cost All materials (clay, tools). Firing of your finished pieces to bisque and glaze ware (for the 4 selected pieces). Collection: We'll contact you when your pieces are ready. You have 4 weeks from that notification to collect your work. ► Important Details Minimum Age: 16+ Running Requirement: The course will run with a minimum of 2 bookings. Nails: Please keep your nails short for this hands-on workshop. ► Payment & Missed Sessions Payment Plans: Available for advanced bookings. Please contact us to arrange. Missed Sessions: Can be rebooked separately for an additional £45 fee per session, subject to availability in other classes. We will always do our best to help you catch up. ► Cancellations & Deposits Individual Bookings: All sessions and courses are non-refundable and non-transferable once booked. Group Bookings (5+ people): Require a 50% non-refundable/non-transferable deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due one week prior to the session. Full payment is required for group bookings made within 7day
Cancellation Policy
►Requirements for Attendance • Minimum Age: Each workshop has a different minimum age requirement. It is the signee's responsibility to check the minimum age specified for the selected workshop at the time of booking. • Nail Length: For safety and to ensure successful throwing, participants are required to have short nails for the duration of the workshop. ►Payment and Cancellation/Rescheduling ❶ General Bookings (All Sessions and Courses) • Finality of Booking: All sessions and courses are non-refundable and non-transferable once the booking is placed. • Exceptions: Any exceptions to this policy are made solely under the discretion of the business owners. ❷ Group Bookings (5 or more people) • Deposit: A 50% non-refundable/non-transferable deposit is required at the time of booking. • Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be settled one week before the session is due to take place. • Late Bookings: Any group sessions booked 7 days or less before the scheduled date will be required to pay in full at the time of booking.
